Charity Shoot 30th October 2022
On Sunday 30th October 2022 we held our annual charity shoot. This year it was in aid of Chestnut Tree House who offer support to children and young people with life limiting illnesses. They also do incredible work at supporting the families through a most difficult time.
With a large number of members and guests enjoying bacon baps before the shoot began, the weather held off to allow the 60 clays shoot to get underway.
Luke Woolven took the top spot for the highest score, but he wasn't good enough for the Charity Top Gun Trophy... This was a sperate stand that attracted a lot of attention with shooters starting with their own guns and moving onto shooting with a 20g or old side by side.
It was a close final shootout between Chris Johnson and Luke Woolven, both using a 20g under and over, and clays being sent up at the trappers choice. Chris was on top form and won his first ever shooting trophy... great shooting Chris and well deserved!
At the time of writing this blog, we do not yet know the final amount that we raised for the charity, but it looks like it could be a new record for Seal Island.
A huge thank you to everyone for their support, digging deep and for the laughter!
